What a grouped bar chart is, and when to use one.

A grouped bar chart places a bar for each series next to the others within every category. It's also called a clustered bar chart, a clustered column chart, or a double bar graph when there are two series.

What's the difference between a grouped and a clustered bar chart?

Nothing. They're two names for the same chart. Excel calls it clustered; many style guides call it grouped.

How do I make a double bar graph?

Paste a category column, a value column and a series column with two values, like 2025 and 2026. Lightchart draws the pairs side by side.

How many series can a grouped bar chart handle?

Two to four read well. Past five to seven the bars get thin and the colors hard to tell apart, so split the data into separate charts.
